TRAINING FOR PEOPLE AND DOGS LIVING IN THE CITY

Before you got a dog, you had this idea of late Sunday brunches, long walks in the park and sunny afternoons at a pub with your four-legged friend by your side. You wanted to connect with other people through your shared love for dogs and maybe even take your pooch to work.
You're either at the start or in the middle of your journey in building the confidence and crucial skills for you and your dog to do all these things together, but you feel lost. You don't know where to start or the training you've done didn't bring you the results you were looking for.
Hi, we've been waiting for you!...
Not sure where to start?
If you are struggling with certain aspects of your dog's behaviour and find it hard to navigate life with a dog in today's world or you just welcomed a new furry family member and are not sure where to start, you are in the right place!
If your dog is up to 6 months old, you will greatly benefit from our puppy club or individual sessions.
If your dog is 6 months of age or older, is not aggressive or reactive towards other people and dogs but lacks good manners, you should consider our workshops.
If your dog is displaying more serious behavioural issues (i.e. barking and lunging on the leash, anxiety, stress), please, get in touch to discuss or have a look at individual training.
Regardless of your dog's age and your training goals, if you would prefer a personalised training plan and attention, check our individual training.
Our workshops are 1-2 days of classes that focus on a particular skill like loose lead walking, focus and calm behaviours, recall and more. They are great for those who can't commit to weekly group classes or want to work on certain skills more.
Don't forget to check our online training platform and club as a place to get you started and access training videos, partner discounts and community meet ups!
What is the City Pup program?
Our classes heavily focus on Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog program requirements. Every 10 weeks we hold an informal inhouse exam to get your "City Pup Level X" certificate, so there's always something to work towards! Some of the things taught in classes include:
-
increasing your dog's focus and awareness of you
-
recall practice
-
calm stays with and without the handler on the dog's side
-
good manners around thresholds such as doors/gates
-
calm greetings with people
-
neutrality around other dogs and distractions
-
mat training
-
consent to handling and more!
